Nigeria Cops Drafted To Fight Boko Haram Abandoned Base

Nigerian Policemen Recruited To Fight Boko Haram Abandoned Base, After Learning Their Mission Was To  Fight Boko Haram In The North East.

Nearly all of them are southerners and Christians; 96% of the total number mobilised are southerners and Christians too.

Over 190 Policemen mostly from the southern part of Nigeria mobilized for the war against Boko Haram have abandoned the police force and ran for their lives.

The officers are said to be afraid of going to war against Boko haram without any proper training.

An arrest and prosecute order of the absconded officers has been issued by the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Its worth noting that a very good percentage of the mobilized officers are 75% South easterners and 25% South westerners.

A confidential source told us these men were recruited to make up for shortage of soldiers to fight Boko haram.

The source said: “Those are the names of policemen who were mobilised without any serious training to be sent to the front lines to fight Boko Haram who ran away,”.

“Nearly all of them are southerners and Christians; 96% of the total number mobilised are southerners and Christians too. This has raised so much dust and outcry in the NPF.”

This has dealt another blow to the Nigerian Army who is currently having shortages in new recruitment.

A ‘Police Wireless Message’ sent from the Force Headquarters to MOPOLS in 22 states, show the absconded policemen were being trained at the Special Forces school, Buni-Yadi.

The MOPOLS were urged to treat the matter as “very important”. The absconded officers may have been intended to be part of the group of 2,000, deployed to the North East late last month to fight Boko Haram.

Announcing the deployment, Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, had said the policemen comprised personnel of the Police Mobile Force (PMF) and Counter Terrorism Units (CTU), as well as those of the Force and the Sniffer Dog Sections.
