The Fall Of Nigeria, The Consequential Reason Why Indigenous People Must Be Allowed To Exit

Nigeria as it is known right from amalgamation, have never been one homogeneous country and this is due to its differing Indigenous People. The 1914 amalgamation where the British(colonial masters) decided to keep together different Indigenous people who have existed separately, in order to effectively control their vital natural resources for selfish economic interest was the greatest evil against mankind perpetrated on the people.

One of the historic effect of the forced-amalgamation is the 1966/70 bloody and destructive civil war where the Nigeria government massacred millions of Biafrans and starved the children to death for demanding for exit from the Nigeria federation.  The consequential reason for that act(as claimed) was to unify the country yet the reverse is the case as today, there are still inevitable economic, political, tribal and religious crises in the country which have once again brought forth the agitation for exit by Indigenous people mostly by Biafrans who have earlier called for exit after the amalgamation of Nigeria by the colonial imperialist.

To halt the crises and agitations which calls for the splitting of the country; the conciliatory meetings and vehement steps taken by the Nigeria state, proved abortive as it achieved nothing.

Confoundedly, many still ask: "Will exit and splitting the Nigeria federation bring to an end the bloody and destructive crises?"  While others suggest exits won't hit the nailed problem down, the affected masses stood strong for exit and those who benefits gluttonously from the siphoned natural resources from Biafra Land, bluntly insists the unity of the country is not negotiable.

Taking a deep and instinct look into the amalgamation which was uncalled for, the motives for the forced-Unity and the situations which the Indigenous people who are affected by it are in now; there's unnegotiable need for Nigeria to split for those who want to exit from the gratuitous union to do so in order ensure peace reign in the land space called Nigeria.

No factual reason justifies the  arrest and incarcerate Nnamdi Kanu alongside other Biafrans who resolved to lead their people to freedom from the British enclave. After all, the British forcefully initiate the union called Nigeria, not minding the after-effects and Besides, the true/proper terms and conditions of living together as a state wasn't really discussed to acceptance and satisfaction of the indigenous peoples involved in the union.

On the aspect of individual ways of life; the cultures, traditions, political/Social life and religion are so diverse that it's impossible for us to be together as a nation. That's the bitter Truth.

As a result of the diverse way of life of the people compelled to the unacceptable Union; the only thing the people have in common in Nigeria is the name and this alone is insufficient basis for true unity or to be called a nation. And to further worsen issues, the gluttonous attitudes of the northern and Western part of the country who wants it all alone, gets it down.

Mark it down; Nigeria can never be one when there are drastic situations where some groups see themselves as born-to-rule while others are seen and regarded as born-to-suffer, where some people are marginalized in all aspects, their natural resources siphoned and used to feed others while they are left in abject poverty, religious dominance where attempts are made by the Islamic extremists(in and outside political power) vehemently to enforce Islamic religion on the masses, and the practice of regional laterality where Biafra land is kicked aside.

Some suggest restructuring to be the leading solution to the crises and agitations for exit in Nigeria but the inevitable remains that Nigeria have gone far beyond restructuring.

The inhumane acts carried out by the Islamic terrorists and extremists alongside the crises ahead will be more deadly if the Nigeria government and the world do not peacefully let the Indigenous People to decide if to exit from Nigeria or not.

The Unity of Nigeria is very much negotiable and the time to allow Biafrans to decide where they stand is now.
